If you've never seen the film "The Thing", I understand why you're confused. In the film (which is the inspiration behind these three images), the Thing (wierd alien parasite) "kills" its victims by a process of cellular conversion, in effect transformin' them into itself. The poor girl must have been infected by its DNA (probably the blood splatter from the previous image), and it's manifestin' rather rapidly.
